Introducing a breakthrough in sanitizing that comes ready to use on your hot tub. With the built in FROG @ease In-Line System, you simply open the cap on your hot tub, snap in the conveniently adjustable cartridges and enjoy weeks of cleaner, clearer and softer water. FROG @ease uses FROG Minerals and SmartChlor® Technology that creates Fresh Mineral Water® by killing bacteria two ways with up to 75% less chlorine and a lot less work!
Additional Information
In 2 seconds, you can know precisely whether your pH, Total Alkalinity and Hardness are balanced, plus whether or not SmartChlor® needs replacing. Simply dip the FROG @ease Test Strip into the water, remove with the pads facing up and shake once to remove the water on the FROG Test Strips. Then hold it up next to the color chart on the back of the bottle to compare colors.
If the SmartChlor color on the strip is darker than the bottle label, the water is fine. If it is lighter it’s time to replace the Smartchlor Cartridge.

My in-line Frog ease system did not function well, until I quit depending on information from the dealer not took over complete control. I read the hot tub manual carefully and instead of changing water every three weeks, after 4 months the water is crystal clear and I rarely have to add chemicals. I love the system. I do all the work so It’s too bad I can’t buy in bulk and save $’s on my maintenance. Product lasts mineral 4 months and SmartChlor 3 1/2 to 4 weeks

It can’t keep up. We use our spa every day. Twice now our tub has read 0ppm of chlorine over the course of a two week period. The smart Chloe just can’t keep up with us. The water is perfectly balanced and checked daily. It just runs out of chlorine even when the cartridge still has granules in it! It may work for occasional users, but not with daily or twice daily users.

Something changed in the chlorine cartridges. During summer I got 3-4 weeks. Now I’m lucky for a cartridge to last a single week. I’ve bought off Amazon. Is it possible I’m getting knock off product?

I absolutely prefer the FROG @ease Inline System. For me, it has taken the guesswork out of maintaining my hot tub. Before FROG, I had to constantly purchase multiple other products. This system is much easier to use, replaces almost everything I was using before, and has helped me to enjoy my hot tub again. I’ve actually started using my hot tub more frequently now. My advice to those who report their FROG cartridges don’t last: try lowering the dial setting. Depending on the size of your hot tub, start at a low number (like 1) and give it a day. Adjust each day by +1 until you find a number that works best for your tub. Or try reaching out to the dealer you purchased your tub from. They should be able to provide you with some helpful tips.

All of the above is true, if they offered a bulk buy it might make sense. I use this product in a Artesean Elite hot tub, the dispenser is built into the tub.

Hi Kristen,
There could be a couple of things causing the cartridges to not last the typical 3-4 weeks. One thing that can cause a low reading is if a chlorine shock wasn’t used on the freshly filled spa. Using a chlorine shock on a freshly filled tub establishes a free chlorine reading between .5-1 ppm for the @ease system. Without shocking with a chlorine shock right away, the SmartChlor has no reserve to pull from when it needs to.
The chart on the @ease manual for dial settings is just a suggestion. How often your spa is used and how many people are using it, can all be factors in what setting the SmartChlor should be set to. The dial can always be adjusted to fit your spa’s needs, but the free chlorine always needs to between .5-1 to properly sanitize your water
One thing to look for is if the @ease system is flowing toward any jets or filters. If it does this it can drain the SmartChlor from the @ease, thus lessening how long the SmartChlor cartridge lasts and lowering the chlorine level.
Hope this helps!
-Tom

Convenient product, but only getting 3 weeks at best out of each cartridge! Would be nice to purchase direct in bulk because as currently marketed, way to expensive! Will treat the spa the old fashion way until adjustments are made!!
Jon B –
Was told by the dealer (and on this website) that the chlor cartridge will last 4 weeks. This is not true at all…would be lucky to get 2 weeks out of it. This is false advertising.
Tom Sager –
Hi Jon,
Sorry to hear about your longevity issues. It most likely is due to a water balancing issue. Take a look at our free water balancing guide here.
• If you are constantly adjusting the dial setting on the Smartchlor cartridge up and down it will run through the chlorine faster, instead let the self-regulating system and spa do its job.
• Running the filtration cycle too often can also have an effect on this, make sure you have the settings on what your Bullfrog Spa manual recommends.
Hope this helps! There are lots of variables and different possible situations to run through. If you are still having issues please give our customer service team a call at 800-222-0169.

I agree with other users. Way too expensive, not able to refill, and a waste of plastic, but 1 plus is convenience. Please reconsider how this product is made. Thanks

It’s a good system, but we still have to shock the tub after every 3-4 uses, so weekly. The cartridges are expensive and not refillable. Makes for a lot of plastic waste.
