Additional Information

The @ease System combines the proven FROG mineral formula for killing bacteria with SmartChlor Technology that maintains a consistently low chlorine level for weeks.

Unlike normal chlorine that is used up when you get in, SmartChlor continues to maintain the same level, which is up to 75%* less than hot tubs using dichlor (standard hot tub chlorine). That’s why we call it self-regulating.  It goes to work when the hot tub needs sanitizing so there are no frustrating yo-yo chlorine levels.  This time-released method is also why less shock is needed to maintain the hot tub.

This technology is so unique it has its own testing method that’s easier than standard test strips.

In 2 seconds, you can know precisely whether your pH, Total Alkalinity and Hardness are balanced, plus whether or not SmartChlor® needs replacing. Simply dip the FROG @ease Test Strip into the water, remove with the pads facing up and shake once to remove the water on the FROG Test Strips. Then hold it up next to the color chart on the back of the bottle to compare colors.

If the SmartChlor color on the strip is darker than the bottle label, the water is fine. If it is lighter it’s time to replace the Smartchlor Cartridge.

This technology is so unique it has its own testing method that’s easier than standard test strips.

A new standard for keeping your Hot Tub water crystal clear – continuously.

I could not find the product I needed for my Jacuzzi, go figure there is a shortage! But I posted a message to King Technologies (Frog) and they sent me 3 dealers that have their products within 1 day. Thank you!

I've had my Jacuzzi 300 (210 gallons of water) for a month. I set the dial to 3 per my dealer, and the chlorine level was low/no. I moved it up to 5, not much change. Now I'm at 6 and today it was low again. After 30 days it seems to have plenty of chlorine left in the cartridge. Is it working? I'm wondering if the floating system is better - the reviews on Amazon were impressive.

FROG Products - May 3, 2022

Hi Bruce, thanks for reaching out. I've asked our customer service team to contact you in order to talk more about chlorine levels and which system may work best for you. You should see an email soon!

Mark Schierenbeck - April 25, 2022

Same problem as others are having. The test strips always display a color that indicates the chlorine is low, even after shock and changing the Jacuzzi cartridge. I even opened a new pack of test strips just to try again. The most recent cartridge added doesn't even seem to be working as it's still relatively full after more than a month. It's opened to 7.

FROG Products - April 25, 2022

Thanks for reaching out, Mark! We're sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you're having with your chlorine levels and test strips. To get to the bottom of this, I've asked our customer service team to reach out to you directly and you should hear from them soon.

I enjoy the simplicity of the Frog @ease system, but, like another reviewer, I find the chlorine indicator always reads low/no on the test strip even after a cartrige change, shock, and all other readings at ideal levels. I read that having a chlorine cartrige too close to the filter could result in the chlorine not circulating. Not sure if that's the case here? Besides this little mystery, we've been otherwise happy.

We're glad you're liking the FROG @ease system Sharon! However, we're sorry to hear that you're having issues with your chlorine indicator. I've asked our customer service team to reach out to help you. They'll be contacting you soon.

Jesse B - February 3, 2022

They should better mark which cartridge is the chlorine and which is the mineral. Once that was figured out, it was easier to balance. Now the issue is finding the cartridges. My local dealer rarely has any, and they sure aren't cheap! Considering switching to a different floating system just so I can find supplies. The test strips always show chlorine is low, even immediately after shocking and cartridge replacement - so that doesn't seem to work too well. The rest of the strip has been useful though, so I just ignore the chlorine indicator.

FROG Products - February 3, 2022

I am glad you have the cartridges figured out Jesse. Blue is the mineral just in case. I want to confirm you are using the correct test strips because the FROG @ease test strips only show an yes/no indicator and not a range. I would love to help, so please email me at and I will make sure that is correct and help you find replacements.
