The @ease System combines the proven FROG mineral formula for killing bacteria with SmartChlor Technology that maintains a consistently low chlorine level for weeks.
Unlike normal chlorine that is used up when you get in, SmartChlor continues to maintain the same level, which is up to 75%* less than hot tubs using dichlor (standard hot tub chlorine). That’s why we call it self-regulating. It goes to work when the hot tub needs sanitizing so there are no frustrating yo-yo chlorine levels. This time-released method is also why less shock is needed to maintain the hot tub.
This technology is so unique it has its own testing method that’s easier than standard test strips.
In 2 seconds, you can know precisely whether your pH, Total Alkalinity and Hardness are balanced, plus whether or not SmartChlor® needs replacing. Simply dip the FROG @ease Test Strip into the water, remove with the pads facing up and shake once to remove the water on the FROG Test Strips. Then hold it up next to the color chart on the back of the bottle to compare colors.
If the SmartChlor color on the strip is darker than the bottle label, the water is fine. If it is lighter it’s time to replace the Smartchlor Cartridge.

I could not find the product I needed for my Jacuzzi, go figure there is a shortage! But I posted a message to King Technologies (Frog) and they sent me 3 dealers that have their products within 1 day. Thank you!

I've actually had a pretty good experience while using these. However, finding them is another story. These have become unobtanium.

I have the same system I’m using in my system j355 jacuzzi. Disappointed the chlorinated granular get those clumps stuck in the holes. And usually change within 2-3 weeks due to doesn’t last 4 weeks . ( other chems read within levels just not chlorine ) We only use our hot tub 3-4 times a month but I check it weekly on the chemicals.

As a first time hot tub owner, it took a little trial and error to understand water balancing and how to achieve snd maintain it. Our Jacuzzi dealer gave is a starter pack of frog ease. First three months I diligently tested the water and had trouble with water balancing. Frog ease did make maintenance easy. I unfortunately the chlorine run out and the minerals ran out for us at 3 months. We got swamp water. I purged the biofilm with aaahsome, drained, cleaned and refilled. Did balancing step by step per frogease instructions and now our water is crystal clear again. Even if because of our high frequency of use or size of tub we go through the smartchlor more frequently, I really like the frog ease system and the test strips are accurate. I cross check with a taylor kit on ph. Water balance is key. Our ph is 7.4-7.6, alk is 120, hardness is 150. If the water is not balanced, it will affect any sanitizer you use. I look forward to going away for a week and knowing all will be well. If it’s not, then we’ll figure out why. We are going to keep using frog ease. It works.

This system does not work! Chlorine level is constantly low even at the highest setting with a fresh cartridge. For such an expensive system you would think this wouldn’t be an issue. Disappointing
