What size hot tub will FROG Serene work in?
Hot tubs 150 to 600 are perfect for FROG Serene.

How does FROG Serene compare to other bromine floaters or using chlorine?
If you are tired of smelly chlorine odors and having to spoon in chemicals every time you use your hot tub, SPA FROG is for you. FROG Serene is not just bromine. It contains FROG minerals that destroy bacteria so you need up to 50% less bromine. The result is soft water without bleached suits or smelly odors.

How long do the mineral and bromine cartridges last?
The mineral cartridge lasts four months or whenever the hot tub is drained and refilled. The bromine cartridge lasts 2-4 weeks.

Can I remove SPA FROG from the spa when in use?
Yes. Simply turn it upside down on any surface so the water fills the green holder and doesn’t make a mess. Just remember to replace it when you exit the tub.

I don’t use the floating device. I use the in-line cartridges which are EXPENSIVE. Why don’t you have discounts for us little guys who maintain spas not pools ? I highly endorse your product and use nothing else. Maintenance is low

      Hello William,

I used to use chlorine and what a hassle. These Frog products make owning a spa a pleasure. The system is quick to get up and running with minimal adjustments to chemicals in the beginning. From that point on a test of the water for me usually gives me perfect readings. I add a couple of tablespoons of activator after getting out of the tub and that’s all. The lines stay clean and there is even minimal cleaning of the filter. The water is always clear and smells good with no skin irritation.

I use the Frog Ease too… the chlorine cartridge on one side and the chemical cartridge on the other side.. my question is … do I need to use shock still with these chemicals… or any other things.. I see someone said something about some activator? what is that used for? I’ve just got me a used hot tub and been using it for 3 weeks now and bought the Frog … Thanks for any advice? also, I need to see how many gallons mine holds.. I didn’t think about it when fillng it up.. I do have all the paper work when the person had purchased it to.. the model and other info..

      • Tom Sager

        Hello Faye,

You should shock your spa each time you replace the SmartChlor cartridge in the @ease system, or as needed if your water is out of balance. FROG Jump Start.

This is simply the easiest and best SPA product there is.I have a beach cottage with a small 250 gallon hot tub and am away for weeks at a time. This product keeps my tub perfectly balanced, crystal clear, and ready for use even with these large gaps in attention. My only suggestion is in the directions for jump start, do not use the full bag of jump start if your tub is much less than 500 gallons like mine.It makes balancing the tub impossible and has too much chlorine, carefully measure the volume of product in the jump start bag and use half (the upside is one bag of jump-start will get you through two fills!).

I just bought a Dr. Wellness g16 6 person hot tub. I would like to use this product. Is this an acceptable product to use in my hot tub?

    • Sarah Miller

      Hello Corey,

Our Spa Frog product would be a perfect choice for your new tub. Enjoy!

  6. John Johnson

I am using the Frog floating system in an old Jacuzzi hot tub. It keeps getting caught at the filter inlets.

    • Sarah Miller

      Hello John,

We recommend using a string to tether the Spa Frog Floating System away from the filter basket if you have this issue. It does not happen often, but I have heard about it.

      Thank you,

      Sarah

  7. Linda Vega

Hi I use the floating frog system in my spa. Works great, is easy and we love it. I will be using the jumpstart when we open it soon. My question is how often do you add the dichlor sanitizing granules? and how much? Thank you

    • Bryan Wall

      Hello Linda,

You would use the startup and then after that you would not need to use dichlor granules, you should use a non-chlorine shock weekly.

      Enjoy your Tub!

      Bryan

whats the difference in the green and blue bromine?

    • Sarah Miller

Great question & one that is often confusing. The Blue Cartridge is always the Spa Frog Mineral Cartridge. The Yellow, Green & Purple are the Bromine Cartridges. The Yellow Cartridge is the only cartridge designed to be used in the Spa Frog Floating System. The Green & Purple Bromine Cartridges are designed to be used in the Spa Frog In-Line System only.

      Have a great day,

      Sarah

  9. Christopher Collier

I have been using the Spa Frog floating system for about a year and have a question. I know that when the bromide cartridge is empty it’s used up. Is the mineral cartridge the same or does it retain minerals inside when it is essentially spent?

    • Sarah Miller

Thank you for using the Spa Frog Floating System. The Minerals in the Spa Frog Floating System last for 4 months or once per fill; whichever is shorter. After 4 months the Mineral Cartridge will feel full as it did on the first day; however the Minerals will be spent.

If you have more questions, feel free to let us know.

      Thank you,

      Sarah

We have a small Marquis 2-person spa (Rendezvous) with a Frog built in to the circulation system. The outlet from the housing was damaged when the spa was moved and I was wondering if, rather than replace it, we could just bypass the built-in system and use your floater system. I have already removed the old, damaged unit and it would be easy to just connect the inlet and outlet lines. The floating system looks like a much easier way to go and would save the cost and trouble of replacing the old unit. In case there is a reason we should replace the old unit, can you supply it and what is the cost?

    • Sarah Miller

      Dear Charles,

I recommend you first contact Marquis to verify if your hot tub still has warranty coverage.

Depending on how handy you are, the replacement of the housing that is damaged may not be too difficult. If you’d like more details on this process and part pricing please call 1-800-222-0169 and we’d be happy to assist you.

      Thank you,

      Sarah
