  • Kills bacteria with up to 75% less chlorine* than ordinary systems.
  • Shock just once a month.
  • SmartChlor cartridge lasts up to 4 weeks depending on hot tub usage. Recyclable when empty.
  • The Mineral Cartridge lasts 4 months or whenever you drain your hot tub.
  • No faded swimwear. No chlorine smell.
  • No Mess. No Guess. No Stress. No daily or weekly maintenance. Creates Fresh Mineral Water for hot tubs up to 600 gallons.
  • The SmartChlor cartridge flips when it's time to change.

How It Works

The @ease System combines the proven FROG mineral formula for killing bacteria with SmartChlor Technology that maintains a consistently low chlorine level for weeks. Unlike normal chlorine that is used up when you get in, SmartChlor continues to maintain the same level which is up to 75% less than hot tubs using Dichlor (standard hot tub chlorine). That’s why we call it self-regulating.  It goes to work when the hot tub needs sanitizing so there is no frustrating yo-yo chlorine levels.  This time-released method is also why less shock is needed to maintain the hot tub. When the SmartChlor Cartridge is depleted the system will flip over as a visual reminder to replace the empty cartridge with a new one.
This technology is so unique it has its own testing method that’s easier than standard test strips.

Spa Minerals versus standard chlor/bromine

@ease uses up to 75% less chlorine* than ordinary chlorine systems so the water feels softer with no bleached suits or smelly odors. No more shocking weekly or after every use. You only shock once a month.

Testing is also much easier with one color match for chlorine that tells you when to replace your SmartChlor Cartridge.

Only @ease offers the benefits of Fresh Mineral Water and the innovation of SmartChlor Technology.

I purchased a frog spa a few months ago. I like the spa itself, but finding the ease floating system set at its lowest will only last two weeks.
The spa is used only used on weekends by two people, only one or two times per weekend.
Suggestions on how to extend the life of the product.

      Hello Larry,

Below I have listed out some pointers and tips to keep in mind while operating your hot tub & @ease system:

      1. Ensure your water is balanced, as this extends the life of your cartridges, you can view a helpful infographic here
      2. Shock once a month when the SmartChlor cartridge is replaced
      3. I recommend you shock using a non-chlorine (NOT bromine) shock and confirm a new SmartChlor cartridge is in the tub
      4. Consider running your tub less hours on high speed

These recommendations should extend the life of your cartridge.

Can you recommend a “non-chlorine (NOT bromine) shock”? I like the Jump Start that comes with each kit, but those don’t seem to be available individually.
I’m currently using some left over Brilliance Oxidizer, as recommend by my local pool store, but I think it messes up all the other items on the test strip.

          Hi Don,

We do not recommend specific brands of shock provided by third parties. We do recommend a MPS non-chlorine shock – Chlorine-Free shock treatments usually have Oxy in the name, because they contain oxygen, with salts of potassium (this is considered a MPS shock).

          Thank you!
