Silver is the main mineral in Fresh Mineral Water due to its sanitizing properties, which have been recognized for thousands of years. Proven to kill bacteria, silver is used in a number of ways today from toothbrushes to hand sanitizers, air sanitizers, clothes washers and even eye compresses.

As a proven bacteria killer, silver reduces the amount of chlorine or bromine needed in a pool or hot tub. FROG’s proprietary mineral formula is registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use in combination with low levels of chlorine or bromine. Our EPA registration states that 0.5 ppm is all the chlorine a FROG pool needs; for hot tubs our minerals are EPA registered for use with either 1.0 ppm of bromine or 0.5 ppm of Smartchlor® (a unique chlorine used with FROG @ease®).

The key is that without FROG minerals, higher levels of chorine or bromine must be used to properly sanitize pools and hot tubs.

In addition to silver, calcium carbonate (limestone) is an important component of FROG minerals. It absorbs acid to help neutralize pH and keep it in the proper range with less monitoring needed.
