The blue Mineral Cartridge lasts up to 4 months. The silver SmartChlor Cartridge typically lasts 3 – 4 weeks. When the SmartChlor Cartridge is depleted, the floater flips over, providing a clear visual cue that it’s time for replacement.

Keeping your swim spa balanced will extend the life of your SmartChlor Cartridge. Keep pH under 7.6. Over circulation, including the System being pulled into the filter well, will also deplete the cartridge faster. We recommend using a tether.

FROG @ease kills bacteria by combining FROG Sanitizing Minerals^® with SmartChlor Technology to create Fresh Mineral Water∞ that’s Cleaner, Clearer, Softer and Easier^® to take care of. Unlike standard dichlor, which spikes when added and drops when you use the swim spa, SmartChlor maintains a consistently low free chlorine level of 0.5–1.0 ppm at all times. It self-regulates — delivering more chlorine when it senses demand and holding steady the rest of the time. That means no frustrating yo-yo chlorine levels, no constant monitoring and only shocking once per month.

SmartChlor Technology maintains a consistently low Free Chlorine level of 0.5 – 1.0 ppm at all times. It creates a reserve that converts to Free Chlorine when it senses demand in the swim spa. Industry standards for traditional chlorine levels are 2.0 –4.0 ppm. Plus, chlorine’s “Free Chlorine” level drops significantly under demand and requires shocking continually. SmartChlor reduces shocking to only once a month!

SmartChlor is a unique, patented type of chlorine. It will consistently maintain a 0.5 to 1.0 ppm free chlorine level as long as the pH is balanced. This would not be enough on its own; but with FROG Minerals, it’s a perfect combination that kills bacteria with minerals and a low level of chlorine that create Cleaner, Clearer, Softer^® water.

Shock the water once a month. When the System is about ¾ rotated (around 3 weeks), add a packet of FROG Maintain for Swim Spas to help the SmartChlor Cartridge last about 1 more week.
