Curative
Removal: 1,000 ppb or 1 ppm of phosphate.
1. Backwash or clean filter according to manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Using chart – Apply appropriate number of pods to the skimmer or pump basket. No more than 3 pods in pump basket at once.
7,500 – 10,000 gallons 1 pod
10,001 – 20,000 gallons 2 pods
20,001 – 30,000 gallons 3 pods
3. Allow pump and filter to run continuously for 24-48 hours.
4. Don’t backwash filter for 2 weeks after application. Pools less than 7,500 gallons – be prepared for excessive clouding and flocculation of the pool.
Note: If high levels of phosphates are present when you first use this product, the pool may become cloudy; particulates may drop to the bottom of the pool and should be vacuumed out.
Continue to run the pump for 72 hours and backwash or clean the filter if the pressure increases 8-10 psi. Once pool water is clear, to maintain sparkling water, we recommend using FROG Clarifier 4Pro™ (a pool clarifier) to help give the pool that extra sparkle.
Preventative
Control the pool’s phosphate levels all year long!

3. Allow pump and filter to run continuously for 24-48 hours.
4. Don’t backwash filter for 2 weeks after application.
5. Apply a new pod every month to prevent phosphate build-up.

Yes — with one important distinction.
If you are using Algae Blocker as a curative, be sure to backwash or clean your filter first, then use the Algae Blocker before adding any other pods.
If you are using Algae Blocker as a preventative, you may use it at the same time as the Phosphate Remover and Clarifier. In this case, place all 3 pods in the skimmer or pump basket together after backwashing or cleaning the filter. Do not backwash or clean the filter for at least 2 weeks after using the pods.
Competitive products need to be carefully measured to avoid overdosing. Additionally, they recommend you try to distribute the prescribed dose evenly by walking around the perimeter of the pool while pouring out the contents. With FROG Phosphate Remover Pro, you simply place the pre-measured pod into the skimmer or pump basket and it will dispense within hours.
