How to Fix Cloudy Water

  1. Make sure your water is properly balanced with pH at 7.2-7.6 and Total Alkalinity at 80-120 ppm. FROG Balancing Basics® Kit includes everything you need to balance your water.
  2. Make sure you are maintaining 2.0-4.0 ppm chlorine or bromine levels.
  3. Clean or backwash your filter.
  4. Shock the water with a non-chlorine shock like FROG StoMPS®.
  5. Use a clarifier if cloudy water is due to detergents in swimsuits.
  6. Maintain a 24 hour circulation of the swim spa water until clarity returns.
  7. If cloudy water persists, it’s time to drain and refill the swim spa with fresh water.
