Directions for Use

When the system flips completely over, it’s time to replace the SmartChlor Cartridge.
Rotate the 2 cartridges until the arrows align, then pull apart.
Replace with a fresh cartridge.
If a small amount of SmartChlor remains, float the old cartridge separately in the hot tub until fully empty – then discard.

SmartChlor Technology offers a self-regulating sanitizer that maintains a consistently low and effective chlorine level for weeks.

Unlike traditional chlorine, which rapidly dissipates when people enter the water, SmartChlor automatically adjusts its output based on demand, preventing the fluctuating “yo yo” chlorine levels common in standard hot tub maintenance. This time release approach reduces chlorine use, minimizes odors, prevents faded swimwear and requires shocking only once per month—dramatically reducing maintenance.

With standard chemicals, you experience peaks and valleys in your sanitizing routine. When you add more sanitizer, the level spikes. When you use the tub, the level drops. This yo-yo method goes away with FROG @ease because it maintains the same level of sanitizing from day 1 until the day the system flips over and it’s time to replace the SmartChlor Cartridge.

No, SmartChlor won’t work properly by itself. It must be used with FROG Sanitizing Minerals to properly sanitize your hot tub and maintain the low chlorine level of 0.5-1.0 ppm.

3 FROG @ease SmartChlor Cartridges

The FROG @ease System will flip completely over. This product often sits at a tilt in the water so to double check, lift it up, drain the water and place back in the hot tub to see if it flips completely. You can also use the FROG @ease Test Strips to see if the color block on the test strip is lighter or darker than the purple block on the bottle label. If lighter, it is time to replace the cartridge.

Keeping your hot tub balanced will extend the life of your SmartChlor Cartridge. Keep pH under 7.6. Over circulation, like being pulled into the filter well, will also deplete the cartridge faster. We recommend using a tether.

No. Use FROG @ease Test Strips only. Standard strips will show misleading readings with SmartChlor Technology.

Replace the almost empty cartridge with a new one and let the old one sit in the hot tub by itself until all SmartChlor is dissolved.
