Directions for Use

Before Applying FROG Clarifier 4PRO:

Make sure all pool equipment is working properly, including pump, filter, skimmer and heater. If you recently used FROG^® Algae Blocker 4Pro^™, wait at least 2 weeks before using FROG Clarifier 4Pro.

Curative

Dosage: 1 pod per 10,ooo gallons.

Backwash or clean filter according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Use the chart to add the appropriate number of pods to the skimmer or pump basket. Use no more than 3 pods in the pump basket at once.
Allow pump and filter to run continuously for 24-48 hours.
Don’t backwash the filter for 2 weeks after application. If cloudy water persists for more than 48 hours, confirm equipment and filter are functioning properly.

Note: Backwash or clean the filter if pressure increases 8-10 psi.

Preventative

Use as a monthly treatment to keep the pool sparkling clear all pool season!

Backwash or clean filter according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Add 1 pod per 30,000 gallons to the skimmer or pump basket.
Allow pump and filter to run continuously for 24-48 hours.
Don’t backwash filter for 2 weeks after application.
Apply a new pod every month to maintain crystal clear water.

Typically, in a few hours — no more than 24. The empty pod will float to the top of the skimmer or pump basket where it can be easily removed and discarded on you next service call.

When you use FROG Clarifier 4Pro, start with a clean filter and make sure sanitizer levels are in the correct range. Do not clean or backwash the filter for at least 2 weeks after using the pod.

Make sure the bucket is sealed and always store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area until ready to use. It’s important to keep the desiccants in the bucket, do not discard them.

Yes — with one important distinction.

If you are using Algae Blocker as a curative, be sure to backwash or clean your filter first, then use the Algae Blocker before adding any other pods.

If you are using Algae Blocker as a preventative, you may use it at the same time as the Phosphate Remover and Clarifier. In this case, place all 3 pods in the skimmer or pump basket together after backwashing or cleaning the filter. Do not backwash or clean the filter for at least 2 weeks after using the pods.

Competitive products need to be carefully measured and distributed to avoid overdosing and require weekly, or bi-weekly maintenance dosing to prevent cloudy water from returning. FROG Clarifier 4Pro lasts for up to a month.
