Directions for Use

Remove the cap from FROG Pool Tender Algaecide without removing seal. Turn off pump. Turn control dial to 0. Open Cycler cap. Stand back to let any chlorine fumes dissipate.
Insert upside down into the open center of the FROG Pool Tender Mineral Chamber pushing down firmly on FROG Pool Tender Algaecide bottle allowing key in FROG Pool Tender Cycler to puncture seal.
Replace the Cycler cap by hand only — do not overtighten.
Turn the control dial to Setting 10.
Turn the pump on for 90 minutes to let the algaecide circulate through the pool.
To remove the expended bottle: turn the pump off, turn the dial to Setting 0 and remove the Cycler cap.
Lift the bottle up and let any water inside drain through the Cycler before discarding in trash or recycling. Don’t reuse or refill the container.

Additional notes

Dosage: one bottle for pools up to 15,000 gallons; two bottles for pools between 15,000–30,000 gallons.
If using right after a shock treatment, test the water first — pH should be 7.2–7.8 and chlorine no higher than 4.0 ppm. Avoid adding other chemicals until this has circulated for at least 24 hours.
If the pool needs more than one bottle, repeat steps 1–8.
Once the water runs clear in the Cycler, insert a Chlorine Chamber to continue normal operation.
Store unused Algaecide in a cool, dry place away from children and pets.

Safety note: Never use fast-dissolving chlorine tablets, liquid bleach or calcium hypochlorite in the FROG Pool Tender Cycler.

It’s recommended to use FROG Pool Tender Algaecide at the start of the pool season and every 3 months through the season. It is also useful as a winterizer to prevent algae growth and ensure your pool is ready to open in spring.

Use with the FROG Pool Tender System by inserting the bottle upside down into the Pool Tender Mineral Chamber and pushing down to break the seal. Set the dial to the highest setting and wait one hour. Pull the bottle up draining the remainder through the Cycler and discard or recycle empty container.

Use 1 bottle of FROG Pool Tender Algaecide for every 15,000 gallons.

No, FROG Pool Tender Algaecide has a low level of copper that effectively stays in suspension for 90 days. However, it is not recommended to use in combination with other copper-based products.
