Q: What do I do if there is chlorine still left in the almost used cartridge?

There is a hook on one end of the chlorine cartridge that you can use to hook onto the tether that holds the Flippin' FROG XL in place. Make sure to also attach a new Chlorine Cartridge to the Mineral Cartridge.

Directions for Use

When the system flips completely over, it’s time to replace the Chlorine Cartridge.
Rotate the two cartridges until the arrows align, then pull apart. If a small amount of chlorine remains, float the old cartridge separately in the pool.
Discard and replace with a fresh Chlorine Cartridge.

When the system flips over, the Chlorine Cartridge should be empty. Simply press the tabs on the Chlorine Cartridge and pull it apart from the Mineral Cartridge. Then snap a new cartridge in its place.

Look for the gallon size on the package. If your pool is under 5,000 gallons, you will want the regular Flippin’ FROG Chlorine Cartridge which is a half sphere. For pools over 5,000 gallons, you will need the Flippin’ FROG XL Cartridge which is more of a rounded rectangle.

The chlorine is standard Trichlor but the delivery method is in a prefilled cartridge so there’s no guessing, no stressing and no handling of chemicals, making it the easiest, most low-maintenance pool care routine you’ll find.
