Opening Your Pool
- Always balance your water first
Keep Total Alkalinity at 80–120 ppm, pH between 7.2 and 7.8 and Total Hardness between 200-400 ppm. - Check stabilizer (Cyanuric Acid) levels
Ask your pool dealer to test your stabilizer level. Cyanuric Acid (CYA) helps prevent chlorine from being burned off by the sun. The Flippin’ FROG Chlorine Cartridge contains CYA. For some pools, this may be enough. - Shock the pool
Use a chlorine shock treatment to remove contaminants and establish a baseline chlorine level. - Install the Flippin’ FROG System
Attach the green Mineral Cartridge to the blue Chlorine Cartridge. Set it based on your pool size (refer to your manual). - Place in pool
Put the Flippin’ FROG unit in your pool or tether it to the side. When it flips over it’s time to replace the Chlorine Cartridge.
