  1. Remove outer packaging from both the Mineral Cartridge and the Chlorine Cartridge.
  2. Align the Chlorine Cartridge with tab guides on the Mineral Cartridge. Push together until you hear the cartridges click into place.
  3. Tether it to the pool side with the cord provided, away from the skimmer or a return jet.

Note: This product may be removed from the pool when in use. Lift out of the water and let drain into the pool. Then hang over the outside of the pool or place on the ground or a surface that is not susceptible to bleaching from the chlorine. Remember to replace the product once exiting the pool.

  1. When the product is almost empty, it will slowly flip over giving you notice that it’s about time to replace.
  2. Do not remove the Chlorine Cartridge until the System has completely flipped.
  3. If the Chlorine Cartridge contains a small amount of chlorine after the System has flipped over, place in pool by itself. Do not allow the Chlorine Cartridge to sink to the bottom or pool bleaching may occur.
  4. When completely empty, discard in trash or offer for recycling if available.

Frequently Asked Questions

The green Mineral Cartridge lasts 6 months or one pool season. The orange Chlorine Cartridge lasts 3 – 4 weeks depending on the size of your pool and how often it is used. When the Chlorine Cartridge is depleted, the floater flips over, providing a clear visual cue that it’s time for replacement.

Flippin’ FROG XL is designed for 5,000-10,000 gallon pools.

1 Flippin’ FROG XL Mineral Cartridge, 1 Flippin’ FROG XL Chlorine Cartridge and 1 tether

Simply snap the orange Chlorine Cartridge into the bottom of the green Mineral Cartridge. Set the dial on the bottom of the orange cartridge to the setting that’s right for your pool size (see your manual). Then place it in the pool or tether it to the side. When the Chlorine Cartridge is depleted it will flip over — giving you a clear visual sign it needs replacing.

Love the ease of use and how my pool stays balanced and clear. Only issue I have had is I'm getting about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks instead of the 3-4 weeks on my chlorine cartridge. Have it on the settings for my pool size, so not sure if the summer heat or what is causing it to go so quick. It's not a cheap replacement if I am having to spend $25 so often. Other than that I love it.
