Directions for Use

Balance water: Test your pool and adjust the pH to an ideal range between 7.2 and 7.8 before adding the treatment.
Clean components: Clear out your pump, filter and skimmer basket. Remove any loose leaves or debris from the pool.
Calculate dosage: Use 1 pod per 10,000 gallons of pool water.
Place the pod: Put the prefilled pod directly into the skimmer basket.
Dissolve and run: Allow the dry formula inside the pod to dissolve and distribute through your pool circulation system. After 24 hours, remove and discard empty pod.

Replace: After 90 days, drop in a fresh pod.

Good news, it’s working as it should! The formula dispenses rapidly (within 24 hours) to establish a protective barrier immediately. Once the pod is empty, the protection will last up to 90 days.

This is a bummer. FROG 90-Day Algae Barrier is a preventative aid that helps prevent algae, but it cannot do it alone. If your chlorine drops to zero or your pH gets out of balance, algae can still grow. Balance your pool, get rid of the algae (we recommend FROG Algae Gone) and make sure your chlorine level is adequate. Then try again.

No. FROG 90-Day Algae Barrier is a preventative. If you currently have an algae bloom (sorry), use FROG Algae Gone to cure it first. Once clear, use FROG 90-Day Algae Barrier to keep it that way.

For larger pools (over 15,000 gallons), a single dose may be too diluted to provide a full 90-day protection. We recommend using 2 pods to ensure the concentration is strong enough to protect the volume of water against algae.
