Si el cloro es demasiado alto
- Test your chlorine level
Confirm that chlorine is above the recommended range of 1 to 3 ppm and verify that your test strips or test kit are not expired. - Reduzca el ajuste del clorador o del generador de sal.
Reduce the output or turn the unit off until chlorine levels return to the recommended range. Make only one adjustment at a time and retest after 24 hours. - Reduce the amount of chlorine being added
If using a chlorinator or floater, fill it only partially to decrease chlorine output. If using tablets in the skimmer or adding liquid chlorine, reduce the amount or frequency of application. - Maintain proper water balance
Check and adjust water chemistry regularly, especially pH, which should remain between 7.2 and 7.8 for chlorine to work effectively. - Adjust for pool usage
If the pool is being used less frequently, temporarily reduce sanitizer output. Increase it again when pool usage returns to normal. - Reduce pump run time if appropriate
If using an inline chlorinator, less pump run time means less sanitizer is added to the water. Adjust circulation schedules as needed to help prevent over-chlorination and reduce energy use. - Retest the water regularly
Continue monitoring chlorine levels and make small adjustments until they remain consistently within the recommended range. - Shock the pool only when needed
Reserve shock treatments for situations such as heavy pool use, storms or significant contamination. Once the correct chlorinator setting is established, avoid making unnecessary adjustments.
